Anything with Alyson Hannigan.
How I Met Your Mother is pretty awesome, though.

I liked "The Reader":
Lots of gratuitous sex scenes in the first half of the film and, in the end, there's this very moving dilemma the characters struggle with.

Originally posted by Renzo I'm in the same boat. I just saw Kill Bill 1 and 2 this weekend. Something always came up every time I wanted to watch 'em. Fuck, I love Tarantino. The scenes with Gordon Liu as Pei Mei were amazing. |
Yeah, The Reader is pretty good.
I saw My Sister's Keeper on the weekend. It was excellent; very realistic and moving. I was surprised that Cameron Diaz actually managed to play a serious role.
I also saw Ponyo (yes, we saw them one after the other) and that was fucking awful. Fucking movie critics and their shit recommendations.
recently saw "Where the Wild Things Are" and "A Serious Man"
"Where the Wild Things Are". i give this movie a C+. Disappointed yes. I still say it was a good movie nonetheless. I would give it a slight lower grade, but just because Karen O did the soundtrack for the movie, I give it a slightly better grade.
"A Serious Man". I give this movie an A. Excellently written. comedic. mesmerizing. A coen brothers type of ending at the end. i really felt for the guy. guy couldn't catch a break. i recommend this movie over WTWTA.
Also picked up "Sunshine Cleaning", because I am growing into an Amy Adams fan. I enjoyed this movie fully from start to end. I liked the whole plot of how they were planning to make money. It shows the true sense of humility, and how to overcome it. B+
// edit
saw the trailer for "Men Who Stare At Goats"
may watch this.

saw law abiding citizen.
overall, better than average. some awesome moments, liked the overall concept. gerard butler can't speak americanese, but was otherwise great. the film wasn't quite executed as well as it could have been, though. seemed like they needed a bigger budget (not enough extras, skimped on sound, some plot lines cut short, mediocre editing). also, not nauseatingly political, which was an unexpected break.
wtf was up with the 100,000,000 horror trailers, though? did anybody else go see a movie this weekend & get this? every.single.one. was some r-rated 1/2 reality movie about zombies or aliens or mutants.
it's the end of the world, they are warning us
Yeah, or maybe it's October.
yeah, the mayans didn't mean 2012, they meant the 20th day of the 12th month of 2012-2+1-2 = 12.10.09!!!!! omg!
Whew, that was like a week ago.
see? m/d/y is obviously the correct format, after all.
