The Hangover is fucking funny...
Just finished watching Vicky Christina Barcelona. Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz were simply terrific in it.
The only good movie I've seen this year was Babel, and it isn't exactly new. Anyone seen Fighting? Should I go or not?
The first sentence of the review I read told me that it's a movie starring a guy from "Step up" who's fighting to HipHop music. If that's your cup of tea then go, but I personally would prefer looking at the ******** pic for two hours.
Edit: I just saw that RottenTomatoes gives it 41% (about what I expected) but when going only for Top Critics that skyrockets to 100%
One of my favorite comedies ever, 'The Impostors (1998)' with Oliver Platt & Stanley Tucci has a 6.0 out of 10 on IMDB, so I don't give them much credit (any of the big sites that do reviews), I find that taking it from friends is usually a safer bet.
Platt
The only thing I've read about Fighting was a critic wondering how a movie like this even ended up in the cinema, not as a bad thing, simply because it's not mainstream and can be considered pretty "raw" in some way.
lol at "taking it from friends".
Meat, Top Critics for Fighting is 57% for me.
Am I doing it wrong?
Both of you need to remember to hold the alt key when doing screen shots.
i'm looking forward to this one:

saw The Hurt Locker last weekend.... lotta tension and really good. Definitly worth seeing.
i have a very good feeling about District 9. Judging from the trailers, it looks like a real good movie with a nice twist to it.

GI Joe was good! it was not the huge let down that transformers 2 was!
GI Joe is horrible...probably the worst movie I saw all summer.
I just watched UP and I must say, Pixar and Disney are really great at making stuff aimed at kids and adults. It's a sad movie as well but really funny and enjoyable in the end. Very uplifting movie, I cried 2 times surprisingly. What made the movie great was the beginning, it's amazing how the director was able to tell a whole life story in 10 minutes, literally. The soundtrack was the best feature of the film imo.
Even my dad who doesn't normally cry in movies said he cried.
La lengua de las mariposas.
went to see Orphan last night.
on the downside, a bit too long (2 hours) to be a horror flick, but to be honest, the last 45 minutes of the movie was very pleasing. Not a very bad movie, but not a good movie either. I consider it one of those random movies to watch when you're in the mood to watch something real cheesy. i give it a 3/5
hd moods--most useless series ever.
