Hehe, i know what you mean. Just sort of expected you to have heard it.

I don't mind it, stuff like vice i enjoy, although at times the sounds seem a bit... odd? Dunno.

Speaking of which, the original mix of Dream On is mad, anyone know where the vocals came from?

Robbie Russell - Here With You (Retrobyte Vocal Mix)

i love this kid Retrobyte, his sound is fresh and fun sounding. Admitedly though this tune has quite cheesy vocals, but its an awesome summer sounding track. would go well singing it to your woman whilst driving down the highway on a warm summers night in a convertible

[now all i need is a car]

its groovy as all hell

Posted by Dean Millson on Jan-17-2007 02:26:

you really think so?

i thought it was a boring, repetative & lazy piece of production.

take away the vocal sample and you've got nothing left.

Matthew Dekay did a remix of Intergalactic a few years ago and it sounded like he had an average piece of production lying around on his computer that he couldn't quite finish so he chucked a popular vocal in the breakdown and made a bootleg out of it. This one sounds like one of those imo.

harsh, however i can see where you're coming from and apart from Robbie not having yet given the thumbs up may be one of the reasons why it wont see the light of day... i've well and truely grown up with the perry sound which is why i love his rolling basslines and repetitive type sounds... but like all music its very subjective
