Meh, adultnapper's productions have been boring me as of late, I don't see how his set could be any better. I'm getting me some prog tomorrow

I'm sleeping in this NYE and going to this for some techno by Victor Calderone:

I'm curious how this works without liquor sales before noon. How late does this party go, it only says starts @ 5am. Only out of curiosity, not planning on going myself.

Go to Sweet N Low whenever your feet start itching I'll end up there for sure.

Me too. Usually venues get extended liquor permits for New Years' day so they can sell liquor all morning, but I have no idea how it would work out @ the pier.

Whats the deal with this sweet and low thing? and the time frame- I'm also thinking of getting up early and getting open.

The event page says it ends at 9 am... I'll prob be around there on the earlier part of the night, I caved in to magocbluestar80 so blkmarket it is for the later part of the night

that's the only way to do it properly

as for liqour licence's on nyd
in past year's it depends on the venue...
on nyd 2008 @ pacha i was drinking at 10am but when i went to roseland the next year they didnt reopen the bar till 12 noon, they probly didnt get the special new years licence

but since new year's falls on a sunday this year i dont know what will happen
just pre-game nicely before you go into what ever party your going to

Craig Richards and Ivan Schmugge (sp) are playing the blkmarket party on the Saturday.

Hot Natured is also the night of the 14th although it won't really be Techno but it should still be a good party.

Posted by edubbz on Jan-02-2012 16:22:

Can't wait for that Hot Natured jam!

no doubt man, good hanging with you, claudia and anthony

that was some venue wow iam still amazed that it was sooo massive
and only recently they just started to do parties there, when its been there for years
there was a few negative things, but overall it was a great party i had a blast

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Jan-02-2012 22:22:

was nice to meet chaska and magicobluestar88 (who is not a dude apparently) at the blk market party. I had a great time there - earlier on (up until about 1 hour into pullen's set) the music was only so-so for me. Not totally sure what time we got there but when I finally got past the check in that adultnapper duo was playing 'idiot fair' which was pretty nice.
anyway, i left around 6:30 (reaalllly would've liked to stay longer as konrad black had just come on not too long before and was killin it but my friends were beat and were crashing at my place haha)

Posted by Chaska on Jan-03-2012 00:57:

Holy shit, just woke up about an hour ago, hahaha! I needed sleep sooooo bad.

My weekend kinda started on Wednesday, (Bar 13, drinks with a friend, then sully/underground on friday with its afterhours well into the afternoon) sleeping about 4 hours each morning, so I was a bit worn by NYE.

I left home at around 2 am and stopped by the Sweet & Low party to say hi to friends and have a drink before venturing into BK. Took me forever to get there by train since it was impossible to get a cab (and I had friends who were driving people around all night for extra cash, they were all super busy too). BlkMarket was AWESOME, but not before I had to go through some aggravation. Got there around 4 am. No order going into the space, everyone kept pushing and pushing trying to get through which was not happening cos the bouncer was pushing them back. I felt like I was going to faint, horrible. It was just too crowded and the coatcheck was full. Found a comfortable space on the side until the place cleared up a bit after 7. Stacey Pullen was great (like always, much better than last time I saw him) and Quenum was pretty badass (except for dropping "Doin' that thang"- that super ghey house track- in the middle of a techno set WTF??)

But then Konrad vs Alexi were on and they were just pure FIRE, was really looking forward to seeing them play together and they didn't disapppoint. Seemed everyone was there, ran into ppl I hadn't seen in a while and quite a few TAs (nice to meet you LAdazeNYnights! You left way too early...)

At around 11 am xpand3r and I left to go to Pier 94 to see VC; I wasn't planning on it but was easily convinced I have to say, the whole thing was quite impressive, HUGE production THOUSANDS of shirtless men everywhere, haha. It was as if every guido and every single gay man in the tristate area was there. Everyone was so respectful though, I haven't seen anything like that before, WOW. Victor was soooo good too. Kinda took me back to that DEMF set when he blew me away. They could've done better with the bathroom situation, omfg, that shit was NAAASTYYY Had an awesome time hanging out with xpand3r, Ay Star and Disturbed, you guys are just way too much, haha. Thanks for taking care of me, guys! You're the best

I danced into the new year the way I wanted to: with lots of techno and good people around me I hope this year is like that for me and for all of you!

PS. Ay Star, you need to stop harassing women at these parties. One of these days you're going to have your ass handed to you by a meathead.

You need to plan an alternative next time. Or you could always go solo (the way to go IMO)
