Trick or Tekno at Kimbercote Farms

This event is a community fundraiser to help make the freespace collective bus road-worthy and ready for use. The full-sized school bus (TeknoTank!) will be used for many freetekno events, street parties, parades, festivals, road trips, OMs and such in the years to come. We plan to take our soundsystem on the road and see the world while sharing the vibe with others.

The venue for this party, Kimbercote farms, is a 100-acre farm located in the beautiful Niagara Escarpment between Kimberly and Heathcote Ontario (just west of Collingwood). They are a progressive community and not-for-profit retreat facility committed to social & environmental justice. Read more about them at www.kimbercote.org

There will be shuttlebus service from Toronto availible. [what bus fundraiser party would be complete without... the bus!] A $15 uberticket gets you entry to the party AND a seat on the bus. Bus leaves from Sheppard station at 8 PM. If you show up for the bus without a ticket, you aren't guaranteed a spot.

It's not emphasized but both stages are HEATED! Between 2 high-powered patio heaters, and a giant bonfire outside, there won't be any shivering goin on

These DJs will keep you warm and stomping all night...

good question... for $15, that'd be a great deal, transportation + psy/techno party.

Did you guys see this version of the map??

http://www.kimbercote.org/kroutemap.htm

You can mapquest for collingwood but most of the smaller towns aren't on the map. Any decent Ontario map will show the towns of kimberly and heathcote, and the farms are right between the two:)

Busses: Of course there's busses back to toronto! Would anyone be so mean as to leave people stranded in the middle of nowhere?? Well... maybe some would. But we wouldn't.

The reason we can give such a good deal on a busride is because we own the bus, it doesn't cost much to operate and we want the party to be accessible to people.

If the bus sells out on you, check http://www.freespace.cc
We'll have details on a second trip up there

Hopefully answering questions doesn't count as "bumping" :nervous:

that map is huge, ugly, pixelated, and unreadable!

Ditto. I can't read a thing on it, minus the title.

Hmmm that's strange.... I've looked at that map on 3 different computers and it's always been perfectly clear.
Uhhhhh.... i hate computers :)

There's a print version (small, but readable) printed on the back of the tickets to help guide you.

Other than that, there's text directions. Follow along on your trusty non-digital roadmap:

From collingwood
-take 26 w to thornbury (~10 km)
-turn left (south) on grey road 13
-head south, through the town of heathcote. Your next right after leaving town will be a gravel road, marked 22c. -Turn right on gravel road 22c. It's a windy road, after a bridge there's a sharp left curve, and kimbercote is on your right. Road sign #3163362

Call (519) 599-5885 or go to www.kimbercote.org for more info, directions the day of, or to complain about their map :)
